Feature articles Juggling work family and writing
Auckland scriptwriter Chantal Rayner-Burt, legally blind since birth, has had a passion for film for as long as she can remember. Now 30, she has written and co-written scripts for several films - one of which has been selected to screen as part of the short film section at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012.
War-time film a family affair
The realisation that her script was becoming a movie struck Auckland screen writer Chantal Rayner-Burt the first day on set. "That was when I really understood what we'd done. I saw all the actors on set in their soldier uniforms and I thought, 'We are really going to do this'."
