Wellington Museum’s October low-sensory hour will shift to 9am-10am for the school holidays. In association with Autism New Zealand, Wellington Museum hosts a low-sensory hour on the first Thursday of every month from 4pm to 5pm.

We welcome anyone who prefers a low-sensory environment, including autistic and neurodiverse people. With lights and sound dimmed, tamariki and their whānau are invited to explore local taonga in a calm and quiet space.

Find out more about our accessibility here or download the Wellington Museum Social Story for what to expect during your visit.
