A new exhibition by Room 5 artists, responding to Peter Robinson's Fieldwork, opens at CoCA Centre of Contemporary Art in Christchurch on Friday 4 May.

Curated by Ōtautahi Creative Spaces, Rewire responds to the themes, materials and influences in Peter Robinson’s exhibition and features delicate sculptures, works on paper and digital images. The exhibition features work by Room 5 artists Ankita Saha, Barbara Rule, Carmen Brown, Melissa Redfern, Toni Jones, Rebecca McNab, Sally Peterson, Blair Sands and Rebecca Yianakis.

Established after the earthquakes, Ōtautahi Creative Spaces Room 5 is a community arts project based at the Phillipstown Community Hub, which supports artists with experience of mental illness, addiction and earthquake trauma.

It promotes artists work and advocates for inclusion within contemporary art practice. This is the second collaboration between Ōtautahi Creative Spaces and CoCA, following a project in 2017 with British artist David Shrigley’s exhibition there.
