Award nominations to recognise Arts in Corrections leaders

Do you want to see a New Zealand prison, Community Corrections site, a community group, organisation or individual recognised for their work in using the arts as a tool to support the rehabilitation of offenders or their reintegration into the community? This year’s Arts Access Awards, presented by Arts Access Aotearoa, has two awards acknowledging Arts in Corrections leadership.

Arts Access Awards 2017 logoNominations to this year’s Arts Access Awards close at 5pm on Monday 3 April 2017. The two Arts in Corrections awards are: 

  • Arts Access Corrections Leadership Award, recognising the outstanding contribution of a New Zealand prison or Community Corrections site using the arts as a tool to support the rehabilitation of offenders or their reintegration into the community.
  • Arts Access Corrections Community Award, recognising the outstanding contribution of a community group, organisation or individual working with the Department of Corrections and using the arts as a tool to support the rehabilitation of prisoners or their reintegration into the community on release.

Arts Access Aotearoa receives funding from the Department of Corrections to provide an Arts in Corrections Advisory Service.

Each award has a nomination form. You are able to nominate yourself or others.
