When you give to Arts Access Aotearoa, you’re doing so much more than making a donation. You’re opening doors to the arts, says Richard Benge, Executive Director Kaiwhakahaere Matua, Arts Access Aotearoa.
Arts Access Aotearoa has launched its summer fundraising campaign, inviting people and organisations to support its vision for an equitable arts sector in Aotearoa.
Creative expression lies at the heart of our humanity, Richard says. It fosters identity, understanding and connection, shifting narratives and exploring new ideas.
Arts Access Aotearoa’s vision is of a country where everyone, whatever their circumstances, can create, connect and thrive through the power of the arts.
“Your support can open doors to the arts for everyone,” Richard says. “It will also enable our team to work alongside artists, communities and organisations across Aotearoa so we can all share the transformative experience of the arts.”
With your support, we can build a stronger, more inclusive arts sector. One where artists and arts organisations thrive; where Deaf and disabled artists and art workers are leaders and shapers of culture; where audiences are welcomed without barriers; and the community arts sector is supported to connect, create and enrich our lives.
Your generosity also helps us advocate for the use of the arts in prisons . Supporting artists and educators to deliver programmes that encourage rehabilitation and positive pathways to reintegrate back into communities.
Donate today to be part of this meaningful change. Your contribution makes the arts more accessible and equitable, and a force for good.
