Get ready to sparkle and groove with Dazzlehands, the award-winning story of a persuasive pig who won’t take no for an answer. Based on the beloved picture book by Wellington author Sacha Cotter and illustrator Josh Morgan, this much-loved tale leaps from the page to the Christchurch and Auckland stages in a rollicking new ballet for tamariki and their whānau.
Choreographed by Royal New Zealand Ballet Principal Joshua Guillemot-Rodgerson, Dazzlehands is a moving, grooving celebration of courage, individuality and what is possible when you believe in yourself.
Featuring six energetic dancers, playful narration, enchanting original music by William Phillipson, and laugh-out-loud character costumes by Victoria Gridley, this joyful production invites children to clap, cheer and dance along.
Whether it’s on the farm or under the spotlight, Pig is determined to make everyone see the power of what having a little dazzle and a lot of heart can do!
Fun, fabulous and full of sparkle, Dazzlehands will have the whole family tapping their toes and smiling from ear to ear. Touring nationwide this April.
