Stand-up comedian Rusty in rehearsal

Rusty to perform Virgin of Comedy at Isaac Theatre Royal

1 December 2016
In his first-ever public performance, comedian Rusty (Russell Falcome-Price) presents Virgin of Comedy in the ITR Gloucester Room of the Isaac Theatre Royal in Christchurch on Friday 9 December.

Virgin of Comedy is a stand-up routine that follows Rusty on his adventures across the ditch on the West Isle. Rusty brings to life an assortment of characters with the help of the audience.

Andrea Brigden from the Isaac Theatre Royal has been working with Rusty over the past several months, mentoring him so that he can get his first show off the ground. This has been made possible with a one-off venue subsidy grant from Creative New Zealand, as a first-time user of the venue since its re-opening after the earthquakes.

Entry is via koha (gold coin). The event will include an invited audience from the IHC.

The Isaac Theatre Royal and Creative New Zealand are excited to bring this fantastic community event to the Gloucester Room, and we hope you will join us in welcoming Rusty with his debut public stand-up comedy performance.
