The Royal New Zealand Ballet is providing an audio described matinee performance of the Hansel and Gretel Ballet Season on Saturday 7 December at the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre – Aotea Centre in Auckland.
The ballet audio description is done live by an experienced describer through head sets that will be given to you at the venue. There is also a pre-show Ballet Touch Tour from 11.30am to 12.30pm, giving a behind-the-scenes tour and introduction to the work and terminology.
How much are the tickets?
The audio described seats are offered at a very discounted flat rate (excl. service fees):
Adults: $40 per person (Companion is free)
Children: $24 per child
Touch tour: free
Please note: these seats will not necessarily be at the front and most likely to be in the stalls closer to the rear in each venue. We understand this may not be best for all low-vision patrons. The ballet cannot offer higher priced seating with this deal. If you choose to purchase a higher reserved price ticket separately, you can then request directly to Pascale Parenteau (email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 021 678 521) for the option of securing a head set for the audio description. Please note we cannot guarantee a head set with this option but we will try.
