The July Interview

We talk to Rachel Mullins, one of the six judges of the Big ‘A’ Awards 2012. Rachel is the Inclusive Communities Co-ordinator at Christchurch City Council.

Q. What did you must enjoy about being one of the judges?

A. The chance to see the depth of skill and talent in the arts sector, right across the country. Totally awe inspiring!

Q. What stood out for you about the nominations?

A. The high quality of the nominations. Being a judge certainly wasn’t easy and in each category, you could really see the passion and commitment of the nominees.

Q. Any ideas for the 2013 awards?

A. If this year is anything to go by, more categories may be needed. In the meantime, I’m looking forward to the awards ceremony and meeting the recipients.
