Accessibility Impact Fund: call for expressions of interest

Arts Access Aotearoa is seeking expressions of interest for funding that will support increased accessibility or access needs in the arts sector. The deadline for expressions of interest is 5pm on Monday 29 July. They will be reviewed by Arts Access Aotearoa staff and assessed by members of the arts and access community. Please read the information and FAQs. If you have any questions, get in touch with Projects Coordinator Caleb Gordon (E: caleb.gordon@artsaccess.org.nz or T: 04 802 4191).

What it is

Arts Access Aotearoa is offering one funding round to support the development of accessibility or support access needs in the arts sector. We will be offering grants to:

·      arts organisations and access organisations

·      Deaf and disabled artists and arts workers.

The goal of these grants is to increase accessibility and opportunities in the sector.

Currently there is no stand-alone fund designed to support the development of accessibility or to support access needs. This one-off fund is part of Arts Access Aotearoa's advocacy to increase access to the arts for Deaf and disabled people. We will work closely with recipients to demonstrate the impact and value of funded projects, which will be used in future advocacy for dedicated access funding.

You can apply for grants of up to $20,000. This fund is available to individuals and organisations based in Aotearoa New Zealand. It is supported with funding through Manatū Taonga's Regeneration Fund to Arts Access Aotearoa.

Who is it for

We are seeking expressions of interest from two groups from throughout Aotearoa New Zealand:

1.   arts organisations or access organisations

2.   Deaf and disabled artists and arts workers

The process for each group is different. Please make sure you look at the information for the group you are part of when you are applying.

You will have until 30 November 2024 to complete work related to your grant.
