One-off funding for arts accessibility

One-off funding for arts accessibility

Arts Access Aotearoa is seeking expressions of interest for funding that will support increased accessibility or access needs in the arts sector. The deadline for expressions of interest close at 5pm on Monday 29 July. They will be reviewed by Arts Access Aotearoa staff and assessed by members of the arts and access community.

This one-off funding supports the development of accessibility or the access needs in the arts sector. Arts Access Aotearoa will be offering grants to:

·      art sector and access organisations

·      Deaf and disabled artists and arts workers.

The goal of these grants is to increase accessibility and opportunities in the sector. Currently there is no stand-alone fund designed to support the development of accessibility or to support access needs. This one-off fund is part of Arts Access Aotearoa's advocacy to increase access to the arts for Deaf and disabled people. It will work closely with recipients to demonstrate the impact and value of funded projects, which will be used in future advocacy for dedicated access funding.

You can apply for grants of up to $20,000. This fund is available to individuals and organisations based in Aotearoa New Zealand. It is supported with funding through Manatū Taonga's Regeneration Fund to Arts Access Aotearoa.

The process for each group is different. Please make sure you look at the information for the group you are part of when you are applying.

You will have until 30 November 2024 to complete work related to your grant. For more information and to apply
