Arts For All: encouraging festivals, artists, performing arts companies, literary organisations, museums, galleries, venues and producers to improve their access to Deaf and disabled audiences.

About the Arts For All Network

Arts Access Aotearoa supports Deaf and disabled artists, and individuals and organisations working to become more accessible and inclusive in the arts through the national Arts For All Network. Anyone involved in or passionate about the arts and culture sector nationwide can connect with us to access information, advice and resources for free.

The Arts For All Network is disability-led and operates under the social model of disability. We work to uphold Deaf and disabled people’s rights, including the right to access and participate in arts and culture.

The key resource is Ngā toi mō te katoa: Arts For All Guide, a practical guide to accessibility published by Arts Access Aotearoa and available online.

Join the national Network

We bring together Deaf and disabled people and allies from the arts sector to connect, share and learn from each other. We invite you to be part of a group committed to improving accessibility to the arts and culture. You may have extensive professional or lived experience, or you may be new to the world of arts accessibility. All are welcome to join.

Get involved

Locally: We facilitate an annual in-person hui in seven regions across New Zealand: Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago. Find members in your region.

Nationally: You can live anywhere in Aotearoa and be part of the Network. Our national online hui brings the whole network together to connect once or twice a year. The hui feature presenting artists and organisations doing great work in the accessibility space.

Monthly: Drop in on the monthly online meetups for Network members nationwide. One-hour sessions will be held on Zoom once a month, and you’re invited to share your projects, ask for feedback, get ideas and connect with Network members from around Aotearoa in these friendly sessions.

Individually: Do you have specific arts accessibility questions, want support on your upcoming project, need advice on your venue, or want an in-depth discussion?

Online: Network members can connect and share events, ideas and opportunities directly on the Arts For All Network Facebook group.
