Village Arts Gallery

Village Arts is a community art gallery in Hokianga. Scheduled solo and group exhibitions, plus a showcase space, highlight the area’s established and emerging artists.

Estuary Arts Centre

Address: 214B Hibiscus Coast Highway, Orewa
The Estuary Arts Registered Charitable Trust administers the Estuary Arts Centre to operate an arts centre for the local community.  Their mission is to enrich the lives of people of all ages and abilities, involving and engaging them in arts appreciation and creative opportunities and experiences. There are four galleries available for hire. Artists can phone and book a time with the Centre Manager to have an informal discussion on how to get started, funding and teaching opportunities and exhibiting etc.

Kumeu Arts Centre

Address: 300 Main Road, Huapai (behind the Kumeu Public Library)
This is a not-for-profit, registered charity and community arts centre that provides membership, classes, workshops, events, festivals and ongoing exhibitions.There’s a large variety of classes on offer for all members of the community. New members are welcome.

Mangere Arts Centre - Ngā Tohu o Uenuku

Address: Corner Orly Ave and Bader Drive, MangereTown Centre
Managere Arts Centre nutures and presents a diversity of arts, crafts and cultural activities that underpin the unique character of Mangere's population. It showcases Mangere as an important creative and cultural hub, featuring a rotating schedule of exhibitions, with a mix of work by local and national artists. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, Saturdays 10am–4pm, Sundays and public holidays closed.

NorthArt Gallery
Address: Norman King Square (opposite  library), Ernie Mays Street, Northcote, Auckland
NorthArt has several exhibition spaces available for hire. Opening hours: seven days a week from 10am–4pm. Closed on public holidays and over the summer break.

Studio One Toi Tū

Address: 1 Ponsonby Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland 1011
Studio One Toi Tū is a creative precinct where artists and creative people can connect. The facility provides spaces and resources for people to propose, present and host courses, programmes and events that support Artstation’s vision of vibrant and connected communities. Upstairs Art Gallery

Address: 418 Titirangi Road, Titirangi, Auckland 
Governed by the Titrangi Community Arts Council, the Upstairs Art Gallery is a community-centred space that supports and promotes emerging artists. Artists and community groups wishing to exhibit in the gallery are invited to submit their proposals to the Titrangi Community Arts Council. Open seven days a week from 10am–4:00pm.

Uxbridge Creative Centre

Address: 35 Uxbridge Road, Howick
Uxbridge Creative Centre has two galleries available for hire, as well as studio teaching spaces and rooms. Gallery space needs to be booked well-ahead as the galleries are usually booked a year in advance. There's an onsite café . Opening hours: Friday to Monday 9am-4pm, Tuesday to Thursday 9am to 9pm.

Waiheke Community Art Gallery

Address: 2 Korora Road, Waiheke Island, Auckland
The Waiheke Community Gallery holds exhibitions opening every four weeks in the Main Gallery, the Small Gallery and the Annexe. Exhibitors include many of Waiheke’s local artists as well as national artists by invitation, and exhibitions also involve community groups. Opening hours: seven days from 10am–4pm.

West Coast Gallery

Address: Seaview Road (beside the fire station), Piha
The West Coast Gallery exhibits and sells the artworks of more than 200 artists who are West Auckland residents. The gallery is an essential hub of artistic activity in the area, hosting regular events and art projects that encourage community involvement. Opening hours: summer, Wednesday to Sunday from 10am–4pm.

Wallace Gallery Morrinsville

Address: 167 Thames Street, Morrinsville
The Wallace Gallery has three exhibition spaces, one of which is dedicated to promoting and encouraging community art, including school competitions and local art groups. The second gallery shows artwork from the Wallace Collection while the third gallery shows work by New Zealand artists. Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10am–4pm, July to September 10am–3pm.

Hawke's Bay

Hastings Community Arts Centre Gallery

Address: 106 Russell St South, Hastings
The Hastings Community Arts Centre Gallery showcases the diverse work of Hawke's Bay artists and craftspeople, with exhibitions usually changing every two weeks. Opening hours: week days from 9.30am–4pm, Saturday from 10am–2pm.

Hutt Art: Odlin Gallery

Address: 9-11 Myrtle Street, Hutt City

The Odlin Gallery features a range of artwork from local/national and overseas artists from painting, pottery and porcelain art to embroidery, weaving, printmaking, woodwork and photography. It's also worth checking out exhibitions by local artists in Hutt Art Centre's foyer gallery. Opening hours Monday to Sunday 10am - 4pm.

Sunday Night Club

Address: Level 2, 4 Bond Street, Te Aro, Wellington

Sunday Night Club is a community art gallery and creative space that promotes and showcases the work of local emerging creatives. The gallery aims to provide a creative collective for anyone passionate about art, whatever their day job. It's a koha-funded space and relies on the generosity and contribution of art lovers for funding. Both long-term and short-term studio space is available to hire for workshops, exhibitions and personal use.

Thistle Hall Community Gallery

Address: 293 Cuba Street, Wellington (Cnr Cuba and Arthur Sts), Wellington
Thistle Hall provides a community exhibition space, providing a varied programme that reflects and stimulates the local community, and provides exhibiting opportunities for emerging and established artists. Brief applications are invited from individual artists and groups six months in advance of a proposed exhibition. The duration of each exhibition is usually one week.

Refinery Artspace

The Refinery Artspace provides three gallery spaces and a workshop space. Proposals from individual artists or groups of artists are acceptable. Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday from 10am–2pm on Saturday.

Eastside Gallery

388 Worcester Street (Cnr Worcester St & Stanmore Rd), Christchurch.
The Linwood Community Arts Centre offers a low cost, non-profit exhibition space for local artists.  Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12pm–4pm, Thursdays from 12pm to 6pm, Saturday 10.30am to 1pm.

Selwyn Gallery

Address: 17 South Terrace, Darfield
Selwyn Gallery has two galleries, where it exhibits leading New Zealand artists and provides opportunities for local  artists, schools and preschools to exhibit and sell their work. Opening hours: 10am–4pm daily (except Mondays).

West Coast

Torea Gallery and Studios Inc

Address: 97b Torea st, Granity
Established in 1994, it is one of New Zealand's oldest self-sustaining, community-owned-and-operated craft co-operatives. Its artists are mainly from the northern Buller region and offers a wide range of their unique handmade works. Its exhibition space open to anyone wanting to exhibit.

Eastern Southland Gallery

Address: Norfolk St, Gore

The Eastern Southland Gallery is a major provincial art gallery, housed in the town's former Carnegie library building built in 1909  and including the internationally renowned collection of expatriate New Zealander Dr John Money.
